Provinces, Cities and Districts • China is made up of - 27 provinces - 4 “direct-control cities” (Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing) - 2 “special districts” (Hong Kong and Macao ) • Beijing is the capital of China and the cultural and political center. Both Beijing and Shanghai are economic centers.

  3.
