  5. 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments • These three amendments guarantee equal protection under the law for all citizens

  6. 13th Amendment • Bans slavery in the United States and any of its territories Frederick Douglass Abraham Lincoln

  7. 14th Amendment • Grants citizenship to all persons born in the United States and guarantees them equal protection

  8. 15th Amendment • Ensures all citizens the right to vote regardless of race or color or previous conditions of servitude

  9. Student Activity • Foldable activity • Fold paper hotdog style • Fold hotdog into tri-folds • Cut one side of hotdog on folds • On the outside of each fold label with one amendment • Inside the fold write what each amendment did • On the back of the fold draw a picture representing each amendment

Student Activity • Create a foldable of the Reconstruction Amendments using the following information • 13th Amendment-Bans slavery in the United States and any of its territories • 14th Amendment-Grants citizenship to all persons born in the United States and guarantees them equal protection • 15th Amendment-Ensures all citizens the right to vote regardless of race or color or previous conditions of servitude
