Allowed for a progressive income tax. The more money you make, the higher your taxes will be. 16th
Provides for the direct election of United States Senators by the people. This gave the people more power over their government. 17th
Prohibition. Prohibits the selling or manufacturing of alcohol in the United States. 18th
Moves the Inauguration Day for the new president to January 20th to decrease the amount of time the (Lame Duck) president will be in office. 20th (Lame Duck)
Two term limit. The president may serve no more than 2 terms or up to 10 years in office. 22nd
Allows Washington DC to have 2 electoral votes for president in elections even though they are not a state. 23rd
Outlaws the poll tax. You can never charge anyone a fee to vote. 24th
Presidential succession. This lists the order of who will succeed the president if something happened. 25th
Voting age is now 18 years old. If you are old enough to be drafted, you are old enough to vote. 26th
