Reviewed and began work on three items: FCC NOI 10-198 on “Promoting More Efficient Use of Spectrum Through Dynamic Spectrum Use Technologies” (Doc.18-11-0003) FCC NOI 10-200 on “Framework for Next Generation 911 Deployment” (Doc. 18-11-0006) Endorsement of the Indian Institute of Technology of Bombay Proposal on TV White Spaces (Doc. 18-11-0027-01) It was decided to continue work on these three items by conference calls in January and February Report of January Interim Meeting Michael Lynch, MJ Lynch & Associates
The RR-TAG conducted four conference calls January 31st to review and approve Doc. 18-11-0015-02 as a response to FCC NOI 10-198 “Promoting More Efficient Use of Spectrum Through Dynamic Spectrum Use Technologies”. The chair then submitted this document for an EC review and filed it with the FCC on February 28th. February 2nd to review and approve Doc. 18-11-0016-04 as a response to FCC NOI 10-200 “Framework for Next Generation 911 Deployment”. The RR-TAG conducted four conference calls February 8th and 18th to approve Doc. 18-11-0023-02 as an IEEE 802.18 endorsement of the Indian Institute of Technology of Bombay Proposal on TV White Spaces. The chair then conducted an EC email ballot which approved submission of this letter. Using Doc. 18-11-0024 as a baseline to review, discuss, develop and approve an IEEE 802 submission to ITU-R WP1A to provide suggested edits to their PDNR on Smart Grid. Review, discuss and if appropriate develop and approve a further IEEE 802 submission to ITU-R WP5A on cognitive radio systems in the land mobile service. (Doc. 18-11-0019). Active participation is encouraged! • 802.18 needs consistent participation from all wireless WGs • Our charter is to provide balanced representation of the interests of all of the wireless WGs before the FCC, other regulatory bodies and the ITU-R • Other members of wireless WGs who can attend 802.18 as their primary group, or at least substantially, are also encouraged to participate • Remember … attendance in 802.18 meetings counts towards maintaining your voting rights in your “home WG” Michael Lynch, MJ Lynch & Associates
