Who can volunteer? • Anyone can volunteer at the Library • If you have some time • If you have some energy • If you have the desire to help make this the best community library
What do volunteers do? • Library work • Shelving • Children’s programs • Adult programs • Baking • Conversation • Covering books • Projects • Computer help • Website support • Book Sale…?
What else can volunteers do? The Rowayton Library will be holding its Renovation Book Sale in May • Prior to the Book Sale • Sorting books • Research the value of books • Refreshment Team • Publicity Team • At the Book Sale • Cashiers • Helpers • Refreshment Team
Where can volunteers work? • Some projects can be done at home • Some activities are done in the Library • Some activities are done upstairs on the second floor of the Community Center
When are volunteers needed? • Routine Library work can be done any time the library is open for as little or as much time as you have to give • Projects have their own timetable • The Book Sale preparation will begin in March and commence in May (date to be determined)
Why now? • The renovation of the Library will begin this summer. In preparation, we will be weeding our collection and also replacing some well-worn books with donated copies. • The money raised through the sale will help add the finishing touches to the renovation.
