Saves you from having to jot down notes with a pencil and paper • The “marked items” data can be leveraged for batch updating of Voyager • Can also be leveraged in the canned reports Access file If “marking” items doesn’t update Voyager, what’s the purpose?
ShelfLister “Marked Item” values are a configuration option. They can be anything that is appropriate for the project at hand.
ASCII Voyager server - (S)FTP file from Voyager server …using the FTP/SFTP client of your choice
A ShelfLister marked items file … is a pipe-delimited (“|”) flat file
You can do the equivalent of all those Access steps with one UNIX command…
