KS3 Intervention Objective: to see our young people fulfilling their target grades and to tackle underachievement and develop the whole person
Subject Intervention • Departments will be addressing significant underachievement in their subject areas • Students are expected to make 2 levels of progress between KS2 and KS3 • Reading with Sixth Formers • Reading for Pleasure – DEAR • Don’t stop reading to and with your children!

Parental Support • A quiet place to study • Establish the ground rules with homework • Where possible, do homework the night it is set • Pack school bag the night before • Minimise interruptions: Ipods, mobiles, television, internet and other • Organise a place for schools books and equipment :on a shelf, in a box or a drawer • Notice board with timetable and reminders – lists for each day of the week
