  3. 6.1 GA 6/3/2011 – Available via Tech Support site. • New Features Covered: • SNMP • Parallel Control Agent • iWay Integration Applications (iIA) • Security • XQuery Agent • LEA • Full list available on “What’s New” page or • http://ecl.informationbuilders.com/iway.

  4. SNMP SimpleNetwork Management Protocol Support for V1, V2, & V3 • Monitor: • Server start and end • Listener start and end • Listener execution statistics • Special registers

  5. Parallel Control Agent Execute dynamically created process flows in parallel. • Types: • XML Split • Count Can be combined with RVI for distributed MapReduce style processing.

  6. iWay Integration Applications (iIA) Build, package, and deploy applications into their own managed servers from iIT. The registry is no longer required. Deploy against templates containing configuration settings. Script your deployments.

  7. Security Updates • Role Based Security • Assign specific roles to realm authenticated users to control access to functionality in a process flow. • Validation can be done using IFL.

  8. XQuery Agent A query and functional programming language for XML documents. • “XQuery is to XML what SQL is to database tables.” – W3C • The agent is used to apply the XQuery against the incoming document and return the result. • Example: • for $x in /FEDREG/CNTNTS/AGCY where $x/EAR=‘Agricultural’ order by $x ascending return $x

Transformer Updates Transformer will be functionally stabilized and replaced in the future with the iIT version. • Pipelining • Added support for more types. • Variable Support • To enhance performance and usability. • Formatters • Option for plugging proprietary data format conversions within an XML transformation. • Mapping Libraries • Provide additional organization and portability of data mappings and other components. • Design Time Validation • Runs automatically upon opening a transform project.

  13. Improvements • _iwxpath() • XPath 1.0 full specification support. Up to 4 times faster than standard XPath. • Copy/Rename Providers • Make a copy of or rename any current provider in the console. • Dynamic Adapter Targets • Adapter targets that are used in a process flow can now have their properties set using IFL.

  14. Improvements (Cont.) • Debugging Aid Commands • _iflcache – Show cached IFL commands. • _xalog – Get statistics on log drivers. • _correl – Get statistics on correlation drivers.

Scheduler The Scheduler allows the user to schedule Service Manager tasks to run at specific time(s) during the hour, day or month. • Calendar Provider • Lets you set Holidays, Time Zones or to skip Weekends or not. • Schedule Provider • Run any iSM command at a specific day and time down to the minute using a specific Calendar Provider.

  16. Security Updates • Simplified DSIG • New components for creating Digital Signatures for XML documents. • Kerberos Support • JAAS authentication realm is available for authentication.

  17. Scripting Support • Execute scripts from inside flows using IFL or from the console. Support Javascript and Perl. IFL Command: _script(script,function,param,param,…) Console: script location –entry function paramparam … Access to iSM objects in scripts: Current document, Special Registers, and XDManager

  18. iIT Updates • Channel Builder • Visual assembly of channels inside iIT. • Dictionary Builder available in iIT. • Library Explorer • Add components to a library for reuse, parts of a flow, ifl statements, part of a channel. • Web service support • Export web service into iIT. • DQC update site • Get updates for or install DQC via an update site.

  19. iWay XML Archive • Low cost, efficient, scalable storage, query, and retrieval system for XML documents. • Query: • Find documents via HTTP query API. • Apply XQueries to retrieved documents. • Configurable: • Source documents from any iWay adapter or listener. • Store documents inside mongoDB using GridFS or outside using the file system.
