1. Union Township School PTA Classroom Volunteer The UTS PTA needs you. If you would like to be a liaison between the teachers, parents, and the PTA, then this position is for you. • Responsibilities • Act as a liaison between the parents, teachers, and other UTS PTA committee’s • Be the path of communication on all things related to the PTA • Contact the homeroom teacher by September 30th to determine the needs of the classroom • Maintain an updated parent contact list for the class • Forward any important information and needs from the classroom, out to the parents • Attend UTS PTA meetings (1x per month) • Required to encourage parents to become UTS PTA members and participate in our annual membership drive • Eligibility • You must be a current member of the UTS PTA • You can only be a class parent for the same child, once every 3 years** • You cannot be a class parent for more than 1 child each year ****unless there are no other volunteers • Parent volunteers will be announced at the 1st UTS PTA meeting on September 13 at 9:15am • How to participate • Please complete the form below • Return it by 9/12/10 in an envelope marked UTS PTA – Tracy Todaro • Name: ____________________________________________ • Child’s Name:_______________________________________ • Child’s Teacher:______________________Grade/Section: ______________________ • Phone #____________________________Email: _____________________________ • _____Yes, I have volunteered in the past 2 years, but would be willing to take the position if there are no other volunteers • Please direct any questions to Tracy Todaro at jttodaro@comcast.net
