EuroTermBank is a project aimed at developing and implementing a unified terminological methodology for new EU member states. It will establish a network of terminology institutions, consolidate fragmented terminology resources, and create an online terminology data bank. Users will benefit from a single access point to comprehensive terminology resources in different languages and fields.

Linguistic InfrastructureCreated/Strengthened • EuroTermBank goal is to facilitate Pan European terminology development process • Methodology for harmonisation of terminology processes in new EU member countries and for ensuring compatibility of terminological resources for data interchange and resource sharing • Networking of terminology-related institutions (creators and holders of terminology resources, major user organisations) on both national and multinational levels • Consolidation of terminology content from different sources and owners in unified database that is intelinked with other systems
