  2. METHOD ONE SOME POINT OF A HARD DRIVE DESTROY WIPING DATA 1) Backup Your Data 2) Erase all of the data on the hard drive with software. 3) Open the computer case and remove the hard drive. 4) Remove the casing from the drive. 5) Remove the magnets. 6) Remove and dispose of the platters.
