Community programmes These programmes are series of integrated measures, adopted by the European Commission, for intensifying the cooperation among the member and accession states with regard to the Community policies. These programmes are funded by the Community budget through grants. These grants are provided under different schemes for each programme, but these common rules are applied: • The grants are always additional and not sole funding. The EU does not fund 100% of a project budget. • The grant is provided in order to enable the organizations to implement activities, which would have been impossible without this support and is never intended to bring profit to the applicants. • Grants are provided for future expenses. • Only onegrant can be provided for a certain type of activity.
