Read this passage • The Advantage and Disadvantage of Nuclear Power • Nuclear power is generated by using uranium which is a metal mined in various part of the world. The first large scale of nuclear power station was opened at Calder Hall in Cumbria, England in 1956.
Some military ships and submarines have nuclear power plant for engine. Nuclear power produces around 11% of the world's energy needed, and produces huge amounts of energy. It causes no pollution as we would get when burning fossil fuels.
The advantages of nuclear plant are as follow: -It costs about the same coal, so it is not expansive to make. -It does not produce smoke or carbon dioxide, so it does not contribute to the greenhouse effect. -It produces huge amounts of energy from small amount of uranium. -It produces small amount of waste. -It is reliable.
On the other hand, nuclear power is very, very dangerous. It must be sealed up and buried for many years to allow the radioactivity to die away. Furthermore, although it is reliable, a lot of money has to be spent on safety because if it does go wrong, a nuclear accident can be a major accident.People are increasingly concerned about this matter. In the 1990's nuclear power was the fastest growing source of power in many parts of the world.

Read this passage! Living in a city Living in a city has both advantages and disadvantages. On the plus side, it’s often easier to find work, and there are usually many choices of public transportation. So you don’t need to own a car. Also, there are a lot of interesting things to do and places to see interesting thing. For example, you can eat in a good restaurant, visit museums, and go to theatre and a concert. More than that, you can find a park to relaxing thing out and reading a novel on its bench. A city life is full of variety and bustle you’ll never get bored with.
However, for every advantage, there’s always a disadvantage inside. For one thing, you might have a job, but unless it is very well paid, you’ll not able to afford a thing. Because living in a city is an expensive thing you’ll face with. It is particularly difficult to find a good, cheap accommodation in a big city. More than that, public transportation is sometimes crowded and dirty. Particularly in a rush hour, and even the parks can be very crowded, especially on Sunday when it seems like every city is looking for some open space and green grass. The last thing is, despite the entire crowd, it still possible to feel very lonely in a city.
In conclusion, I think that city life can be particularly appealing to young people. Who like the excitement of a city can do, and don’t really mind about the noise and pollution. However, many people, when they got older and when they have young children, often prefer the peace and fresh air of the country side.
