Archimedes’ Principle Buoyant force acting on an object = Weight of water displaced by object
Pascal’s Principle • Pressure applied to a fluid in a closed container is transmitted equally in all directions • Examples: hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems
Bernoulli’s Principle • For fluids: • High speed Low Pressure • Low Speed High Pressure • Explains why an airplane flies
