Orders and delivery - Wiener • Test Samples • TPC, MTG, MTK ordered 7 units in Aug/Sept 05 • Not yet delivered – not before 24 March 06 • Bulk order • MTK, and PHOS ordered in Jan 06, TPC & TRD ordering now? • CERN negotiating production & delivery plan • All empty bins asked to be delivered mid May • Patch panel mounted and cabled by CERN • Rack mounting prototype being prepared in demonstrator rack Bldg 4 • Installation in UX racks June/July • 1 PS of each type to each detector to be delivered July • To enable commissioning to start • Bulk delivery end September • Final installations November • Reception + tests • Delivery to CERN ESS group (if wished) • Unpacking, entry into support dBase • Reception tests with semi-automatic tester TB 16.3.06 L.Jirden

Orders & delivery - Caen • Test samples • SPD, HMPID and TOF have each one EASY crate, no filter units • Bulk order • SPD,FMD,PMD,ACORDE, HMPID, TOF ordered all, no filters yet • SSD special module? • Caen need to finalize the systems before production and delivery • Filter unit being tested at CERN this week, looks positive • Radiation tests no good; very tedious, but not critical for ALICE • Deliveries (on CERN contract) earliest September 06; more news next week • Installation: earliest October – November 06 • Commissioning before October 06: replacement devices to be found (FMD, ACORDE) • Reception • Delivery to CERN ESS group (if wished) • Unpacking, entry into support dBase • Reception tests TB 16.3.06 L.Jirden

  7. Maintenance • On-site maintenance and repair foreseen • To avoid possible problems due to INB • Done by Caen & Wiener • Organized and handled by CERN ESS group TB 16.3.06 L.Jirden

  8. HVPS • No common purchasing done • Each detector to take care of their own orders • Order via Institute or via CERN • Via CERN: contact D.Gregorio, CERN Purchasing • Time to order now • Common effort and support for control part • OPC server, Framework components, etc TB 16.3.06 L.Jirden
