Our Philosophy • Use the great sport of lacrosse to teach & learn life lessons • Make it our habit each day to be accountable to get better • Have fun while passionately competing at the highest level! • Foster a lasting culture that team = family • Past. Present. Future • Winning games is important • Developing responsible leaders is the most important “I am only one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And what I can do, I ought to do. And what I ought to do, by the grace of God, I shall do.”
We All Have a Role Coaches Players Parents • Each day, make a positive impact on a player • Know where “winning” is in the priorities (not the same at all levels) • Composed sideline demeanor • Be constantly engaged • Represent the program honorably • Demand accountability, discipline & teamwork • Be organized and timely • Create fair and open competition • Communicate our philosophy • Technically & strategically competent • Have fun! • Set the team's goals early in the off-season, then hold each other accountable • Demonstrate sportsmanship and respect • Maintain academic eligibility • 100% accountability at all team functions, on time • Work hard and dedicate yourself to your team • Compete constantly to make yourself and teammates better • Accept coaching (try to make the changes to do it the right way) • Leave a legacy others aspire to • Have fun! • Model of sportsmanship and respect • Respectful behavior in the stands • Support 100% accountability and commitment to the team, on time • Support team and booster club • Find a place to volunteer • Problems? Please talk to your son first. Then Coach Berndt • Let the coaches coach • Have fun!
Attendance • 100% of games, practices, workouts and team gatherings are to be attended • Intentional unexcused absences result in a loss of playing time • Unexcused absence = any absence that is: • Preventable • Not communicated to a coach in advance • Player’s history…

Academics & Eligibility • Take care of your grades as first priority • 5:30pm practice time each day should allow for tutoring, test extra-time, etc. • No mandatory study table • Players do not practice during ineligible periods, but are welcome and expected back when eligible again Academics are a HUGE component of college recruiting
