Organization • Funded and run by parents for our kids • Limited support from school • Booster aligned but not supported • Developing school facility usage/support • Fieldhouse • Weight training • Buses • Some HS field use
Organization • Parents • Volunteer to serve on the Board • Volunteer on other committees or jobs • All families required to help at games
Board • Plans and performs all administrative functions for the Batavia Lacrosse Club • Scheduling games, referees, buses • Selecting and hiring coaches • Purchasing equipment and uniforms • Coordinate fundraising and sponsorships
2014 Fundraising • Batavia Lacrosse is self funded • Expenses Include: • Administration (communication) • Coaches • Equipment (nets, balls, goals) • Game expenses (referees/fields/trainers) • Uniforms/Practice pinnies • Game transportation • Indoor practice space • Min one tournament • 2014 Fundraising Goal = $10,000 • Sponsorships are also critical • 2014 Sponsorship Goal = $ 5000

What coaches expect from you • Commitment to Batavia Lacrosse • Off season conditioning is your responsibility and you are expected to be in shape on the first day of practice/try outs • Weekly Skills/Conditioning will be coordinated through the Lacrosse Club • Wall Ball – critical and expected. You are responsible to prepare and hone stick skills • Winter Leagues encouraged
Teams • Batavia Lacrosse will field two teams • Varsity • Fresh/Soph/JV • Expecting minimum of 45 players • 22 – 24 players on each roster
Equipment • Players provide ALL equipment • Lacrosse Stick • Helmet – prefer black • Pads – shoulder/chest and elbow • Gloves • Mouthguard – cannot be white or clear • Cleats
Preseason workout plan Fast Start Program – Get ready for the Season! • Eight – 2hr Conditioning/Skills Training Sessions • Location: Batavia Fieldhouse • Focus: Conditioning, Stick work, Fundamentals • Four Professional led sessions • Four Volunteer/Captain led • Cost = $32 per player • Supplemental wall ball workout – On own time • Designed by experienced coaches • 30 min workout designed to improve stick handling/confidence • Players are expected to work on skills during free time • Winter League options: True Lacrosse and River City Commit to being the best – Commit to Bulldog Lax
Preseason Fieldhouse Schedule • January 17 – 7:00–9:00 pm (Friday) • January 25 – 1:00-3:00 pm (Saturday) • January 31 – 6:00-8:00 pm (Friday) • February 1 – 1:00-3:00 pm (Saturday) • February 8 – 6:00-8:00 pm (Saturday) • February 17 – 7:00-9:00 pm (Monday) • February 22 – 3:00-5:00 pm (Saturday) • February 24 – 7:00-9:00 pm (Monday) Commit to being the best – Commit to Bulldog Lax
