The Annual Meeting on October 9, 2018 will discuss proposed changes to the By-Laws, including voting and fiscal year amendments. Voting will be conducted electronically during the voting period, and the fiscal year will change from July 1st to June 30th.

Proposed Amendments to By-Laws ARTICLE III – MEETINGS OF MEMBERS Section 4 – Voting Current wording: Section 4 – Voting: All issues to be voted on shall be decided by a simple majority of those present at the meetings in which the vote takes place. Each member, Individual or Organizational, shall have one (1) vote. Members shall not vote by proxy. Proposed wording: Section 1 – Fiscal year: The fiscal year of the Corporation shall be from July 1st to June 30th. Note: Proposed additions to Section 1 are underlined.

Purpose • Serve as a statewide data clearinghouse regarding nursing practice, nursing workforce supply and demand, and nursing education. • Publish reports of the current state of the nursing workforce, including nursing supply, demand, and educational opportunities to the citizens of Arkansas. • Promote a culture of health for the citizens of Arkansas. • Promote a diverse nursing workforce to meet the needs of the citizens of Arkansas.
