  6. Deborah Sampson • Deborah was born on December 17, 1760. • She died April 29,1827 & was 66. • She grew up in Plymouth Massachusetts where she grew poor. • When she was a child her father abandoned her family.

  7. Famous Deborah • Deborah pretended to be a man to get into the army. • She got married to a man named Benjamin Gannett. • There is a park named after her. • She gave speeches all over New York.

  8. BANG A terrible thing happened to Mrs. Sampson she got shot once. That is very sad. She was in the war & a gun shot off & BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
