Volunteer ( Montezuma Alliance for the Restoration of Species & Habitats) • Come and join Linda Ziemba, U.S. Fish and Wildlife’s Biologist for a presentation on the goals, achievements, and volunteer opportunities at Montezuma NWR. MARSH! is a joint venture volunteer program between: • Montezuma NWR • New York State Department of Environmental Conservation • Montezuma Audubon Center • Friends of Montezuma Wetland Complex • They recruit volunteers to participate in various biological studies and related work: • tree planting • seed collecting • invasive plant control • During MARSH! activities volunteers venture into places on the refuge that are closed to the general public. As part of the program on March 9, you will have a chance to talk with current MARSH! volunteers and discover why this program is so exciting to them. • Saturday March 9, 2 – 3:30 p.m. • Montezuma NWR Visitor Center • Free to members of the Friends of Montezuma Complex; • $5 for Adults non-members; $3 for Students and seniors non-members • For more information: Tasha_Daniels@fws.gov or 315/568-5987
