  3. What is TAIEX ? TAIEX is the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument managed by the Directorate-General of the European Commission . What services does TAIEX offer ? 1. To provide short term technical assistance and advice on the transportation of EU legislation into the national legislation of beneficiary countries . 2. Technical assistance through the TAIEX instrument comes in many different forms and across a wide range of areas . TAIEX’s flexibility help meet wider training needs in EU legislation by reaching a significant number of officials .

As with other TAIEX training formats , experts and study visits are designed to provide short term assistance to beneficiary countries on the approximation and implementation of EU legislation. 4. Expert missions involve one or two Member State experts travelling to beneficiary partner countries .

  5. Who are the Beneficiaries of TAIEX assistance ? 1. Civil servants working in puplic administrations . 2. The Judiciary and law Enforcement authorities. 3. Parliaments and civil servants working in Parliaments. 4. Professional and commercial associations. 5. Interpreters , revisers and translators. EFSA The European Food Safety Authority is the keystone of European Union risk assessment regarding food and feed safety . *EFSA follows a workflow that runs from the moment EFSA receives a request for scientific advice or initiates its own activity to the moment it publishes and communicates its scientific findings . * An example of the EFSA Advisory Forum which brings together the national food safety authorities of all 27 EU Member States , Iceland and Norway .

  9. * EFSA brings together EU-wide stakeholder organizations working in areas related to the food chain . * EFSA in assistance , financed by the European union to assist candidates and potential candidate countries in their preparations for the joining the European union . * EFSA also organizes and participates in many events annually on scientific topics . www.efsa.europa.eu

OIE • *The European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) developed in 2004 which linked with OIE , Paris, France , in order to enhance prosperity , stability and security , also to offer a political connection and economic integration to immediate EU neighbours , in addition to North African countries . • *OIE also focuses on harmonization of surveillance and control methods and national devices . • *The priority diseases : rabies , peste des petits ruminants (PPR) ,Brucellosis , blue tongue (BT) sheeo pox tuberculosis , FMD , Avian influenza (AI) ,leishamniasis ,Rift Valley fever (RVF) and African horse sickness (AHS),West Nile Disease.

  17. اليوم الثاني : مجموعة العمل المتوازي . • التعاون عبر الحدود في مجال الصحة الحيوانية . (Cross border cooperation for animal health _PPR and Foot and mouth disease ) – Chair FAO تم تشخيص مرض طاعون المجترات الصغيرة في عام 1994 في مختبرات أوروبية ، وكان مصدر العدوى من الأغنام عبر حدود العراق .

  18. 2. القدرات التشخيصية في المنطقة (الأردن ) . مختبرات وزارة الزراعة الأردنية ، مديرية البيطرة ، جاوا،عمان (المختبرات البيطرية الرئيسية ). • تشمل فحوصات مختلفة : بكتيرية ، طفيليات داخلية ، أبحاث مختلفة حول تحضير الخلايا (Cell Culture )، ELISA and real time-PCR • مختبرات بيطرية في مختلف مديريات الزراعة (إربد ، الزرقاء ، الكرك )
