  14. Should It Be A Part Of Social Studies? • Yes. • Students need to be aware of what is going on around them. • Can bring an understanding of how history occurs and is recorded. • Can show how to make the connection between how events at one level (i.e. State) affect other levels (i.e. School).

  15. CA & National Standards • Supports the Distinguishing Characteristics of the CA Framework (2, 4, 6, 8, 15, 16,& 17) • Supports the 10 Key Strands of the National Standards (1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, & 9)
