MaritimeEducation • EMAis an institution of professional higher education operating on the basis of the Institutions of Professional Higher Education Act, other legal acts and its Statutes. • The areas of activity of the EMA are as follows: • providing higher maritime education on the basis of curricula of professional higher education studies and according to the Master’s study curriculum approvedby the Government of the Estonian Republic; • providing secondary vocational maritime education conducting applied research and development in the area of marine activities; • organizing in-service trainings • All maritime education and courses (simulator trainings) are in accordance of STCW 78/95 and certified by the Estonian Maritime Administration in accordance to the Maritime Safety Law. • The quality system of the EMA has been audited by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited.

NEW SIMULATOR COMPLEX AND ITS POSSIBILITIES • Full Mission Bridge • Part Task Bridges 1, 2, 3with DP modules • ECDIS/RADAR Simulators • GMDSS Simulator • Full Mission ERS Simulator • ERS Simulator • Refrigeration Simulator • PISCES Simulator • Integrated Bridge and Navigation System- Multi Functional Displays with real ECDIS and Radar/Arpa • Hydrodynamic Ship Models And Modeling capabilities (over 100 types of ship navigational models, 7 engine room models and 5 ref plantmodels)

International Projects • EnSaCo - Environmentaland Safety Management Cooperation on Shoreline Oil Spill Response. • TransBaltic- Towards an integrated transport system in the Baltic Region • STOCA-Study of cargo flows in the Gulf of Finland in emergency situations • OKT Infra - Oil and container transit traffic, and future infrastructure needs in Finland and Estonia • MARI COMP - Developing the Competencies of Maritime Lecturers • CMS3 – WebbasedCrisisManagementSystem • MEP - producing and sharing high quality educational materials • StarDust- brings academic, business and public world together to find better solutions for the Baltic Sea Region. • PENTA - Effective, competitive, eco-friendly, safe port procedures and sea transportation solutions between five cities.
