MaritimeEducation • EMAis an institution of professional higher education operating on the basis of the Institutions of Professional Higher Education Act, other legal acts and its Statutes. • The areas of activity of the EMA are as follows: • providing higher maritime education on the basis of curricula of professional higher education studies and according to the Master’s study curriculum approvedby the Government of the Estonian Republic; • providing secondary vocational maritime education conducting applied research and development in the area of marine activities; • organizing in-service trainings • All maritime education and courses (simulator trainings) are in accordance of STCW 78/95 and certified by the Estonian Maritime Administration in accordance to the Maritime Safety Law. • The quality system of the EMA has been audited by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited.
