IN PHILIPPINES…. The Climate Change Commission, which is attached to the Office of the President, is an independent and autonomous agency with the same status as that of a national government. It is the sole policy-making body of the government tasked to coordinate, monitor and evaluate the programs and action plans of the government relating to climate change.
“Ikaw, Ako, Tayo: Kabatang Handa sa Klimang Nagbabago” at Museo Pamabata • This event is a partnership between the Climate Change Commission and Museo Pambata aimed at raising climate change consciousness among students in a creative and conducive environment. Museo Pambata will be able to showcase their I ♥ My Planet Earth gallery, multipurpose hall and other facilities both to students and teachers as a potential educational venue for future events and study tours. An interactive exhibit and workshop will be conducted on the identified date which will aim to: • Educate students on the causes and effects of climate change. • Enable the students to identify ways of reducing their carbon footprint. • Raise the consciousness of the students on the urgency of addressing climate change. • 4.
