PDC FOCUS for 2011-12 The Professional Development Committee will work to provide a variety of learning opportunities& formatsto teachers designed to improve instructional effectiveness and student achievement in alignment with the district strategic plan/CSIP.
PDC FOCUS 2011-12 (cont’d) The Park Hill PDC uses the National Staff Development Council (NSDC) Standards to guide our focus.

PDC REPRESENTATION • Each building/site is represented on PDC • 3 representatives—High schools • 2 representatives--Middle schools • 1 rep—Elementary & special schools • 1 rep—Administrator from each level
PDC REPRESENTATION A cross-section of certified staff: • Regular education teachers • Special education teachers • Counselors • Media specialists • Teachers from the ECSE and Day School programs • Instructional coaches • Administrators
PDC MEMBER RESPONSIBILTIES • Develop a plan & budget in alignment with CSIP • Participate in sub-committee work • Serve as an On-site Advisor for new teachers in their buildings
PDC MEMBER RESPONSIBILTIES (con’td) • Approve the use of PDC resources for local workshops or conferences relate to building or district goals • Maintain a building-level budget and provide monthly updates regarding building expenses and balances
PDC FUNDS AT WORK • Teacher Induction Program (TIP) • District-wide PDC Days • Workshop/Conference attendance
