SUPPORT PROVIDERS SHOULD NOT ALSO OWN OR HOLD THE LEASE ON RESIDENCES • Support providers should not also be in the property management business. • Structures need to evolve to facilitate consumer control over their home.
FUNDING STREAMS NEED TO BE CREATED SPECIFICALLY TO ADDRESS SUPPORT NEEDS OF PEOPLE LIVING IN CONSUMER CONTROLLED HOUSING • Current use of At home Residential Habilitation can be difficult • Funding caps not based on functional need • An ecological assessment of support needs is long overdue • DDP II - Not relevant • Funding should be more flexible ( increased or decreased based on real time support needs)
LABOR LAWS REGARDING UNPAID SUPPORT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED (e.g. Nondisabled roommate)
