Police Arrest Spains Most Wanted Gang of Bank Robbers March 29,th 2011 By: Mrs. Falck The police operation which led to the fives mens arrest, followed months of investigation by a joint taskforce which was set up by the Catalan regional police, into Mosso’sD’Esquadra, their colleagues in the Basque Country, the Ertzaina, National Police, and the Civil Guard. A total of 150 officers hace been involved in the investigaion, all of which were invaluable in the search of the robbers. The gang of bank robbers quit robbing banks after the death of the clerk because they feared they would be captured. The five men were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday Morning. Most of the men were found in the Basque country side. Where the gang seems to have been stationed out of. However some of the men were found in Cantabria. Two other men, who are already in prison for other crimes have been identified as part of the group and one member is remains at large. Ertzaintz and the National Police Spain’s most notorious bank robbers have been captured, well at least five of them. The gang of robbers is accused of more than fifty bank robberies. The five men were arrested in the North of Spain.
