Styled UP Eph 2:1-3 1 And you He made alive, who were who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others

Styled UP Eph 2:4 - 7 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us to sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Styled UP Eph 2:8-10 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before hand that we should walk in them.   5. Styled UP Joseph Kony & Osama Bin Laden Eph 2:1 And you He made alive, who were who were dead in trespasses and sins • We were just like Kony and Osama, dead (Separated) in sins (transgressing the Law - 1John 3:4) and trespasses (Unrighteousness).

Styled UP When dead (‘Nekrous’/Separated), we were; • Fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind (Doing everything you felt like doing) – The Flesh • Walking according to the course of this world – The World 1 John 2:16 – For all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world

Styled UP When dead (‘Nekrous’/Separated), we were; • Walking according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience (Obeying the devil and not God) – The Devil 2 Tim 2:26 –And that they (sons of disobedience) may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will • By nature children of wrath (An object of God’s Anger)

  11. Styled UP • But God- (Naye Mukama)!!!! • Who isRICH in MERCY • WHY? -Because of His Great Love, with which He loved us • WHEN? –Even when we were dead in trespasses

  12. Styled UP that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. and made us tosit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, and raised us uptogether, made us alive together with Christ BUT GOD!!!!!

  13. Styled UP In the Heavenly places • We were blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Eph 1:3) 2. By the great power of God, Christ was made alive, raised, seated at the right Hand of God putting all things, including principalities and power, under his feet (Eph 1: 19 – 23)

  14. Styled UP In the Heavenly places • We are made alive, raised, seated at God’s right hand, above all things in Christ (Eph 2:5 – 7) 4. Now we, the Church, make known the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers (Eph 3:8 – 12)

Styled UP How did you get so styled up? • By Grace – You have been saved • Through Faith • Not of yourselves • It is the gift of God (Given freely) Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord 5. Not of works – WHY? - Lest anyone should boast

Styled UP WHY WE CAN’T BOAST Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before hand that we should walk in them. • We are His Workmanship – His project accomplished in His son. • WHY? – For Good works, which HE prepared before Hand • WHY? – That we should ENJOY / WALK in them (being like HIM)

Styled UP • Because of GOD’s GREAT LOVE for us • He showed us HIS MERCY & GRACE • How? - Even when we were dead in trespasses, God made us ALIVE, RAISED US, SEATED US together with Him in HEAVENLY PLACES & STILL PLANS TO SHOW His KINDNESS to us in CHRIST • SO THAT we may WALK in GOOD WORKS, which HE PREPARED for us BEFORE HAND
