Asachi” Technical University of Iasi The Security and Health in Work Department The Security and Health in Work Department was founded in 2000 as the first department of this profile in Romania. It functions within the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering. Up to the present date, over 1500 students graduated: master SHW courses, Risk Evaluation post-graduation courses, SHW Audit courses, SHW Management and Occupational Hygiene courses. All courses are taught by elite experts from Romania and from abroad.

At present, the company is known as one of the representative firms on the Romanian production market of natural gas transportation and distribution equipment and installations. CONCLUSIONS • Combination of classical methods with more unconventional ones. • The use of unconventional methods by middle and small business companies. • Introduction of unconventional methods in the teaching process. • Developing creative thinking in future experts and the awakening of interest in middle and small business companies. • Familiarizing the students with notions of risk evaluation by means of unconventional methods.
