SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Argentina's sustainable development strategy is based on 3 key axes: International Affairs Negotiation of the national productive position on sustainability in the Multilateral Environment Agreements (MEAs) Circular Economy Management of national regulations for the transformation of the linear economy model by encouraging the reuse of materials and resource efficiency from product design. Sustainable Production Promote industrial conversion for the production of healthy, safe and more efficient goods and services oriented to the circularization of their materials and minimize emissions, effluents and waste. In this context, Argentina participated in the UNIDO programme for the Conversion to Sustainable Industrial Parks

8. UNIDO: "Development of Sustainable Industrial Parks in Latin American and Caribbean Countries" (2015-2018)* The program had 3 stages completed: 2. 1. 3. Strategy development:creation of practical guidance, establishment of a National Committee, awareness-raising workshops and training. Diagnostics - pilot test of the proposed tool Base Study:state of the situation of industrial parks and SWOT of pre-selected parks. Gualeguaychú Industrial Park Argentina Results: -4 Trained Industrial Parks: PI Gualeguaychú, PINorte (San Nicolás), PI Nogoyá and Villa Constitución. -56 companies Participants -1 industrial park diagnostic report: Gualeguaychú Industrial Park -3 company diagnostic reports: Hermann (metallurgical), Rontaltex (textile), Unionbat (recycling of starter batteries). Challenge: moving forward with the second phase • Implementation of recommendations for conversion to sustainable industrial parks • Replication of the program to other Industrial Parks *Participants: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama and Paraguay
