Today’s Objective • Today, we are going to hear the stories of students from backgrounds like yours who are currently in college. • You will have the opportunity to ask questions after each speaker shares a bit about themselves. Microsoft, 2011
Reminder • Remember to be a polite, active listener! • Listen quietly • Look at the speakers when they are talking • Take notes • Ask appropriate questions when the time comes
Panelists’ Stories • Take 5 minutes to share the following about yourself: • The college you attend • What major you have chosen or what career you are pursuing • Your path to Postsecondary • Personal/Social Challenges you’ve encountered on the path to postsecondary or in college • Personal/Social Opportunities • Best Part of College • Most Difficult Part of College • What you did in high school that helped you prepare for college • What you wish you would have done in high school to prepare
Student Questions • Start by asking one question from your card. • Cross of the question if you ask it or someone else asks it
