First Year Rep Info Session CUS Elections Committee – 2012/13 Electoral Procedure Candidate Eligibility • CUS Student • Declare all plans committed for next year • Can not apply for Executive/Service Council Nomination Process • 20+ student endorsement form • 150 word platform • Photo (150 x 200, .jpg) • Signed candidates agreement
First Year Rep Info Session CUS Elections Committee – 2012/13 Electoral Procedure Attend All Candidates Meeting (Jan 23, 6:30pm) • Deadline for nomination material • 30 minutes late = disqualification Attend All Candidates Forum (Jan 29 & 30) • 30 minutes late = disqualification
First Year Rep Info Session CUS Elections Committee – 2012/13 Electoral Policy Campaign • $25Reimbursement (non professional labour, design, materials) • Absolute campaign spending limit of $250 • Poster requires Committee member approval (stamped) • No leaflet or pamphlet distribution • Speeches before or after class and with prof permission (60secs) • Can not party/slate with other candidates • 1 week after voting closes to remove material Voting (Jan 30 – Feb 1) • No promotional material or candidate near polling booth • Only BCom students can vote via VISTA
