  2. GrasslandsGeography & Climate • The grasslands climate is usally -40 degrees in the winter and 70 degrees in the summer with about 25 to 60 inches of rain per year.

  3. GrasslandsBiodiversity • Plant Species: Tall grass, Short grass, Grass, Flowers, Herbs • Animal Species: 300 species of birds, African Bush Elephants, American Bison, Babolink, Learner Blue Butterfly, and a bunch more.

  4. GrasslandsAdaptations Needed for Survival • Plants: Take in sunlight and use photosynthesis to survive in their habitat. • Animals: Kill other animals, eat plants, and use the Sun’s energy to stay alive in their habitat.

  5. GrasslandsInteractions of Biotic and Abiotic • The animals eat plants and use the Sun’s energy to survive in their habitat. • The plants use the Sun’s energy and use photosynthesis to survive in their habitat.

  6. What is Biodiversity? • The plant and animal species that all live in the same Biome.

  7. How does biodiversity contribute to the sustainability of an ecosystem? • Use the handout given in class to answer the question. • Because if there was no plants or animals there would be no life on that Biome.
