One-Point Localization. Setting Up a One-Point Localization. 1. Tap the Data menu tab. 2. Tap Project. 3. Tap the current open project (in this case, Concord Training ). 4. Tap New. 5. Tap the box underneath New project file name.

Setting Up a One-Point Localization 1. Tap the Data menu tab.
3. Tap the current open project (in this case, Concord Training).
6. Type in the desired project name (in this case, ONEPOINT) and then tap Ok.
15. Type in the desired control point name (this will be the point on which your base will be set) and then tap Ok.
16. In order to add a description to your control point, tap the drop down arrow below Description.
19. Type in desired North, East, and Elevation coordinates using their respective blank boxes. These numbers are arbitrary. Tap Ok when finished.
23. Choose the desired Control point (which should be the newly created Base point) and Connection type (this will be COM8 if using Bluetooth) and then tap Next.
24. Choose the desired Antenna type (type of receiver being used), Antenna height (distance between the height of the control point and the receiver), and Measured to (Base or Rim)settings. Tap Next when finished.
25. Double-check the desired Radio type, Port, Baud rate, and Format. These should not have changed from previous equipment settings.
26. Double-check GPS receiver settings and then tap finish. You can then connect to the Base and Rover receivers as previously discussed. See the presentation Base Set-Up for more details.
27. Once you are connected to both your Base and Rover receivers, tap the Data menu tab.
32. Check the Use horizontal and Use vertical options. Tap Ok when finished.
33. Tap Ok when finished. All data will be relative to the Base coordinates and elevation. It is suggested that you set some additional control points and measure them in as Control Points Without Known Coordinates. This will create a check, as well as a back-up in case your original control point is destroyed. See the presentation Localization for more details.
