DEFINITION OF ‘LA FRANCOPHONIE’ The community of French-speaking peoples. Formally known as the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) or the International Organization of La Francophonie, the organisation comprises fifty-six member states and governments and fourteen observers

Why are Europeanlanguagesspoken in Africa? a. Because of the influence of movies, radio and the other media in general; b. Because African people migrate to Europe and then come back and spread the language; c. Because Europe use to ‘own’ Africa at some stage.
The answer is… ‘C’! European countries such as France, England, Belgium,Portugal, Italy and Spain colonized Africa for several centuries. France and England were the powers with more colonies in Africa. It is because of the French and Belgian colonization that half of Africa today speaks French
