  2. Introduction • “The best portion of a good man's life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love.” • Famous English poet. • Wordsworth's most famous work was, The Prelude. • He used to write romantic poems.

  3. Early Life • Birth date: On April 7, 1770. • Family order: The second of the five children. • He was taught poetry by his father. • Both Wordsworth's parents died before he was 15.

  4. Education years • He attended Hawkshead Grammar School. • In 1787, he entered St. John's College, Cambridge. • Political views.

  5. Career • In 1793 his career began with Descriptive Sketches. • In 1807, the publication of Poems in Two Volumes.

  6. Personal life • Married: Mary Hutchinson. • They had five children. • They lived at Allan Bank. for two years.

  7. Later years • Wordsworth spent his final years settled at Rydal Mount in England. • Death: April 23, 1850. • Cause of Death.
