1. The Sixth Form Contract states that students should ‘dress appropriately’ for school. • We value the opportunity for students to have greater freedom in what they wear in The Sixth Form • We aim for students to be excellent role models for the Key Stage 3 and 4 students and for students in other schools • We aim to prepare students for the world beyond school • In this context, students must not wear: • Shorts • Leggings without a skirt/dress/long top • Skirts shorter than mid-thigh • low-cut tops • Caps/hats inside either school building • Students are allowed pierced ears, but no other body piercing The Grey Coat Hospital Sixth Form 2013-14 Dress Code

Attendance to lessons is absolutely essential for pupils to make progress and fulfil their potential. • Registration is at 0845 every morning in tutor groups. • Students late to Registration must report to Mrs Wells for a pink slip • Students must be punctual to all their lessons • Students late to lessons will not be allowed in. They should report to Mrs Wells (Upper) or Mrs Trainor (Lower). Late students will be issued with a pink slip which will allow them into lessons if there is a valid reason for lateness, or a red slip. Students with a red slip must report to their class teacher at the end of the period to collect missed work • If a student is unwell and unable to attend school, this must be reported to school by phone or through the VLE by a parent/guardian • All unexplained absences will be checked with form tutors weekly • Students with poor punctuality/attendance will be put on report.
