The Infor MES Suite The Infor MES Suite currently consists of three modules: • Production Operations • Manufacturing Data Collection and Communications (MDCC) • Lean Execution and Planning (LEAP) • Quality Assurance Operations • Quality Management (QM) • Maintenance Operations * • Inventory Operations * * Available with XA, but not included in the MES Suite

  5. Introducing LEAP • LEAP was created with one focus in mind. Providing practical yet innovative technical solutions specifically designed to support your lean initiatives! • “Visual” execution is clearly one of the cornerstone philosophies of lean. LEAP was designed to combine the best pieces of traditional shop floor execution tools with the best of lean practices. Kanban execution and management fully integrated with traditional work orders or schedules!

Introducing LEAP LEAP includes: • Kanban setup and management • Production status/electronic Kanban rate boards • Drag-and-drop Kanban and M.O. “scheduling” • “Up-To/Order Point” Kanban • Kanban integration with MDCC (Paper-Less) • Automatic back-flushing of components w/o an M.O. • Automatic M.O/P.O./Req generation

  9. Paper-Less LEAP – Sample Setup Screens From the Main Menu you can perform all the setup functions.

  10. Paper-Less LEAP – Sample Setup Screens You start by defining work center/cell defaults including TAKT rates, machines, shift schedules, etc…

  11. Paper-Less LEAP – Sample Setup Screens …then you define item specific defaults such as the container used, the container quantity, the number of Kanbans required, replenishment rules, images to print on the Kanban card…and much more!

  12. Paper-Less LEAP – Sample Setup Screens Next you can define where it’s made, where it goes, how it’s supplied, set warning limits, add attachments such as drawings, production information, quality tests, and so on…

  13. Paper-Less LEAP – Sample Setup Screens …and finally, you can print Kanban cards using our “standard” format, or PBLSi to redesign and print virtually any format label or card that you require!

  15. Paper-Less LEAP – The Production (Rate) Board You can define and view a “real time” production (rate) board. The rate board tracks and shows hourly production information including accumulative totals, provides access to critical Kanban information and even Kanban transaction history for the shift!

  16. Paper-Less LEAP – Reporting production activities You can process empty/full bin transactions, including the ability to backflush the components used during production without an M.O!

  17. Paper-Less LEAP – Scheduling You can view scheduled and unscheduled orders and Kanbans, and even use drag- and-drop to make schedule changes between machines and/or work centers !

  18. MDCC Highlights And it’s all fully integrated with MDCC. LEAP combines traditional manufacturing orders side-by-side with Kanbans…. It’s the best of both worlds!
