Indian Automotive Industry • ENABLERS for Growth: • Higher economic growth and GDP to propel the auto segment growth. • Increase in production capacity of small cars to make India the global hub for exports. • Opening of mines and the financial boost by the government to the construction & infrastructure projects will lead to higher demand of commercial vehicles. • The ‘National Green Tribunal’ initiative of banning old vehicles more than 10 yrs, in National Capital Region may motivate other States to follow suit and propel demand for new vehicle. • Increase in the aspiration level of youth to graduate to 4 wheelers from 2 wheelers.
