Primary aim • Influence policy makers and managers to support better use of health services research and • ensure that research priorities reflect the needs of the public, policy makers and those responsible for the management of the system
Secondary aims • Campaign for secure funding for HSR and measures to improve HSR careers • Provide a collective voice for health services researchers in health care policy debates
Secondary aims (cont) • Promote issues of common interest to health services researchers, funders, universities and government • Research assessment exercise • Obstacles to conducting research • Promote dialogue between health services researchers, clinicians and managers
