  2. Update on children • Some time in May, one of the children left. PJ had already paid her fees for UKG but mother took her home. 3 children came to PJ during the summer: • Child 1 (1.5 years) – after 2 months, mother took her back • Child 2 (4 years old) – LKG – mother left the house, father was unable to care for her, so he left the child at PJ. She is a quiet and lovely child. • Child 3 (4 years old) – LKG – she was recently orphaned. Her mother passed away, and she had lost her father before that. Relatives sent her to PJ. She is a quiet and well-adjusted. The younger children play with her and Child 2. • All in all, there has been one 1 additional child at PJ, so total number of children presently is 24. • During summer holidays, children from first standard went to the summer camp for one month. They learnt drawing, painting, craft, music and dance. Children are healthy and active. The marks cards are not given yet • The children are healthy, happy and lively. • The children completed their first semester exams on October 7, 2010. • On Saturdays, children attend classes on values and Indian culture.
