  4. Animals • Addax • Cactus Wren • Desert Lark • Sidewinder

  5. Plants • Saguaro Cactus • Barrel Cactus • Old Man Cactus • Dragon Tree

  6. Animal Adaptations • The plumage of the Desert Lark perfectly matches the color of the desert soil to help it camouflage.

  7. Plant Adaptations • The pleated shape of the Barrel Cactus allows it to expand its shape when it rains to store water.
