  1. Welcome to The Bedford Archive This collection of over 100 photographs contains many unusual aircraft; a large fraction of which were not commercial or military successes. For every plane that flew operationally, dozens were one-of-a-kind or a-few-of-a-kind examples and hundreds never left the drawing board. Some manufacturers will not be very familiar, but many had a long history in aircraft deisgn and manufacturing
