The loss of the French people meant the loss of a strong ally to the natives and the counter weight against the British.2
The Ottawa tribe leader, Pontiac, stated to protest ardently with other tribes against the English.1 In the beginning the natives were not wining.1
3. The Middle The Natives were mad so they snubbed Sir Jeffrey Amherst who stopped giving the annual gifts to the them, a hallmark of the French.1 Two major battles in Pontiac’s Rebellion were “the battle of bloody run” (July 31, 1763) and “the battle of Bushy Run” (August 5-6 1763) in both battles both sides were besieged.
The English suffered many casualties. 1
4. The End In the year 1764 Native Americans were very successful and brought down eight English bastions in their rebellion.1
To wane any further violence the English made the Proclamation of 1763 which states that the Native Americans get all the land west of the Appalachian Mountains.
Even though the Native Americans did not understand treaties very well and at the mak-ing of a treaty they were not represented.3 The natives got a lot more land.1
