OSHA Inspections • Clarify the reason for the inspection • Notify JKJ immediately • Politely ask if JKJ can participate in the inspection • Provide only what is asked for • Take pictures of OSHA concerns • Remedy as many concerns as possible before OSHA departs
Informal Conference • Correct all citations prior to the conference • Prepare a list of positive outcomes resulting from the inspection • Phone-in or on-site conference? • Keep discussion at the informal conference positive • After discussion is complete, ask for an appropriate fine reduction or citation reclassification
