  6. RED SCARE Fear of communism and anarchism in the United States after the Russian Revolution of 1917, especially with regards to European immigrants to the United States. Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer Sacco and Vanzetti Led raids to round up anarchists , socialists, and communists for the purpose of deporting them. Two Italian immigrants and anarchists who were accused of murder and put to death.
