Overall Project Status • General Information • March 2015: Migration meetings began with a focus on defining the project structure, scope, expectations. • Key migration team members have access to bbsandbox.open.suny.edu. • Milestones / Significant Accomplishments • Blackboard Learn Environment turned over to Orange. • Train the Trainer and Domain Admin Trainings Complete. • August 2015 • Migration Planning and Preparation • Faculty Training • Phase #1 Preparation • Phase #1 Go Live

  3. Phase #1 Status Fall 2015 • Start Date - Go Live ~ 8/24 • Pilot Group of Faculty • Training • Train the Trainer • Domain Administrator Training • Faculty Migration Training 07/09, 08/04 • Content to be moved from ANGEL to Blackboard Learn for pilot group of faculty

  4. Phase #2 Status Spring 2016 • Start Date - Go Live ~ 2 Weeks Earlier • All Faculty • Migration Training Needs • Working with Open SUNY for days, and time of the Migration Training #2 – October 2015. • Content to be moved from ANGEL to Blackboard Learn - pending identified courses.

  8. Training: Blackboard 1 – 6 Series • All Trainings will be held on Wednesdays from 1:00 – 3:00 • Replaces Angel Training 1 – 6. Designed for faculty who are new to online learning and interested in teaching a fully online course.

  11. Migration Tips • Clean up your Angel shell • Remove Subtitles, Tokens, icons • Place items in folders • All gradable items will become columns in the Blackboard gradebook • Only bring over what you need
