Space Research Centre, Polish Academy of Sciences RESIK RESULTS • Absolute abundance of argon determined for the first time for the Sun using direct spectroscopic tools. Similar results for S, Cl, K (series of ApJ papers) New X-Ray emission lines and continuum emitted by active solar corona successfully measured for the first time in the wavelength range 3.3 – 6.1 Å.
Space Research Centre, Polish Academy of Sciences SphinXSRC CONCEPT, DESIGN & MANUFACTURE Measures the X-ray emission of the Sun in the 0.8 – 15 keV band with: • Time resolution ~10 μ s • Sensitivity 100 x better than GOES (the standard for 30+ years) • Energy resolution 3x RHESSI (NASA) Principal aim: to record quiet-Sun level of emission
