Dance at the Gym West Side Story
In the Blues, the dancers dance in unison. Describe two movements that they perform using ASDR (actions, Space, Dynamics, Relationships).
In the Mambo, Riff and Graziella break out into a duet. Why? Describe the action content. • They break out into a duet because: • Bernado leader of the sharks duets first with Anita. This forces Riff and Graziella to then duet , as Riff is the leader of the jets. • Riff wants to show off. Also to prove that he is better than the sharks. • Action • Riff cartwheels in and flips. Graziella spins in to meet him. Holding hands they run to the RHS, she slides on the floor and he lifts her back up all the time holding hands. She does a kick, hop with one knee coming up towards the chest and a spin. At the same time he spins puts arms out and crouches down, lies down and then gets up without hands- kick up.
