In-N-Out Burger has 258 locations in five states: • California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Texas • Serves 4 basic menu items: • Hamburgers, milkshakes, sodas, and French fries • Known for using only fresh ingredients, treating customers and employees well, and remaining a privately owned company for over 60 years.

  3. New Mexico has a population of 2,059,179 • Restaurants employ 84,400 people (10%) statewide • In 2009, there were 2,972 places to eat and drink, and these locations are projected to make $2.9 million dollars in sales in 2011

  4. Bernalillo County: • Population of 662,564 • Most densely populated county in NM • Total area of 1,169 square miles Where could an In-N-Out restaurant be located?

Ideal Location #1: Highest potential for surrounding city (residential) growth, traffic high and increasing with time • Ideal Location #2: Within an acceptable concentration of competitor restaurants, commercial zone bounded by residential, highly trafficked area • Ideal Location #3: Along very highly trafficked road, and in heavy-commercial area, but very close to several competing restaurants
